Hideo Kojima’s photo is believed to hint towards Death Stranding Two at the following State of Play
An innocent picture posted via the X (formerly Twitter) account of Hideo Kojima’s assistant has created an uproar in the gaming community because those with sharp eyes within the gaming community have noticed a significant detail within the picture.
The image depicting Kojima in his office may hint towards the eagerly anticipated Death Stranding sequel that will be the star of the upcoming State of Play.
The dust hasn’t even settled over the latest showcase of upcoming PlayStation games on September 14. However, it’s not a huge surprise to see another shortly. Sony is known for dropping multiple shows in one year as well, and with the highly-anticipated Spider-Man 2 coming in the next month and the Spider-Man 2 sequel coming out in October, it’s not unreasonable to think that Sony to keep pushing for the next major release at the next State of Play.

A rumor began to swirl this morning (September 27) in response to an account on Twitter by Hideo Kojima’s assistant Ayako Terashima on X. The picture illustrates Kojima sitting at his desk and working quietly.
It is essential to have a keen sense of detail to see the source of the confusion. Some of us aren’t able to discern the minor information being circulated! However, many users who are on Reddit think that the phrase ‘State of Play is the name of the project Kojima is currently working on. Additionally,, several stories of people spotting clues to the likely headliner called ‘DS2’ also known as Death Stranding 2.
The first game was hugely popular, and we are aware that a sequel could be planned in the wake of the announcement at the Game Awards of 2022. Though a release date is not confirmed yet,, there is speculation that this may be the central point of the next State of Play announcements once Spidey has gotten his swing on consoles.
We can only speculate about the time and location of the following State of Play. If the past is any indication, expect to be disappointed to find that we’ve not seen the final PlayStation show for 2023.
