Resident Evil 2 remake is a survival horror game from 2019. Capcom developed and published the game. Resident Evil 2 Remake, as the title suggests is a remake of the 1998 version of the game. This game has been released for various platforms such as PlayStation, Windows and Xbox One on January 25, 2019. This game allows players to take on the roles of either Leon S. Kennedy, a police rookie or Claire Redfield, a student who is trying to get out of Raccoon City when zombies attacked.

Resident Evil 2 Remake received positive reviews for its storyline, gameplay, presentation and consistency to its predecessors. Critics and players around the globe praised this game. Resident Evil 2 remake deservedly won the Game of the Year Award, among many other titles and awards. The game was sold in 7.5 millions copies worldwide by the end of next year. Surprisingly, the remake sold more copies than the original Resident Evil 2 video game.

What does Resident Evil 2 remake involve?

Raccoon City is the setting for this remake. In September 1998, the story is set in Raccoon city. The residents of the town had become mindless zombies. The unfortunate event occurred because of an outbreak caused by a bioweapon virus called T-virus, created by Umbrella Corporation. In a gasstation outside Raccoon City, a rookie officer Leon S. Kennedy and a college girl Claire Redfield are searching for their lost brother Chris.

After the accident, Claire and Leon were separated. The two agreed to meet at the police station of their city. Raccoon City’s police station is infested with zombies and dangerous monsters. The tyrant also lives there. The tyrant kills all living survivors within the city. The monsters, and many other obstacles prevent Leon and Claire from reuniting at the police station. Both of them try to leave the city by themselves. In the game, Leon and Claire arrive at police stations at different times based on their circumstances. They are therefore unable to interact.

Resident Evil 2 was a remake from the Resident Evil 2 game of 1998. The remake is different from the original, as it incorporates elements like tank controls, fixed camera angles and a narrative told in third-person over shoulders.
