Metal Gear Solid Master Collection will be released on physical media
Metal Gear fans finally got to eat after a decade in Shadow Moses. Metal Gear Solid’s Master Collection Vol. was also confirmed. The first collection is a port of the three original MGS titles to PS5.
Konami UK confirmed on Twitter that Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol 1 is also available in physical form.
What’s included in Volume 1?
Metal Gear
Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake
Metal Gear Solid (Including Special Missions/VR Missions).
Metal Gear Solid 2 Sons of Liberty HD Collection Version
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater HD Collection Version
Metal Gear Solid 3 will include Metal Gear Solid 2 in the HD Collection, and will not be available separately. Konami may have upscaled the 7th-generation remasters, but we’re not sure.
This HD Collection was taken down from the digital storefronts by 2021 due to licensing problems. Hence, fans are demanding a new physical collection. According to the listing, these games are now “complete with minimum edits of copyrighted content.”
Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol 1 is only available on PS5. No price has been set yet. The release date is later in 2023.
