PlayStation’s latest console has already been roasted by fans
PlayStation revealed the brand-new console yesterday at PlayStation’s Showcase. Fans are mocking this announcement.
Project Q is the new PlayStation, which was announced at last night’s PlayStation Showcase. It’s a handheld that allows you to stream your games from your PS5 console. It’s a portable PS5 that is sort of. You need to have the console on the same WiFi network.
Fans have mocked the console for being a Nintendo Switch Frankenstein PS5 version. They also claim that you cannot play Tears of the Kingdom.
Reddit user Sinhasatyam posted an image of “Project Q” which is actually two PS5 Controllers on either side of the Nintendo Switch Screen, and it looks shockingly like the real product. Others quickly mocked the post and Sony’s console, and how similar it was to the Switch. The Switch is the superior console, as you can take it anywhere.
One person wrote “Project Left Over Spare Parts” while another said, “It has taken me longer than I like to admit before I realized what I was looking at.” Another commented that Sony is actually playing Tears of the Kingdom. Fuse DualSense with a Nintendo Switch to create Project Q.”
The PlayStation Showcase was successful, despite the somewhat confusing announcement of Project Q. There were many new and exciting games that were revealed for the first time. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 gameplay was a highlight and seemed to surpass everyone’s expectations. There were new IPs such as Phantom Blade Zero, and the much-anticipated Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater remake.
Personally, I’m excited to be able to play those games all on the new Project Q Console, which is just a few meters away from my PS5 or TV.
