Fans agree that Immortals: Fenyx Rise is ‘underrated’ and deserves a follow-up
Immortals Fenyx Rising fans agree that the ‘underrated jewel’ deserves a sequel. Ubisoft should listen.
Ubisoft had some difficult years. After a difficult financial year, it appears that the publisher will return to Assassin’s Creed annual releases. This is not surprising. Ubisoft is putting their hope in Skull and Bones and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, two games that have been delayed and are generally viewed with skepticism by fans. Assassin’s Creed mirage will kick off this new flurry of AC games, but Ubisoft’s fans also want to see an Immortals Fenyx Rising sequel.
You may not have played Immortals Fenyx Rising. The game was released in 2020. The game is a third-person action-adventure where players take on the role of Fenyx – a mortal who has to stop Typhon, the evil demon after he escapes the underworld. It’s not bad that the PS5 version scored 77 out of 100 on Metacritic. PC scores are 79 while Xbox Series X is slightly higher, at 81.
On Reddit, Fearlessmojo posted, “Ubisoft has said that they will focus on the AC Series, but I would love to see a sequel for this underrated jewel.” This post received a massive 5,900 votes from people who agreed.
Iristro said, “I’ve been playing this game for a long time and never knew about it. I played the entire game in just four days. “Best four days of life” I admit that I have had this game in my backlog for several years. Perhaps I should not neglect it anymore.
