The funniest punishment for murder is in the Hogwarts Legacy Morality System
Hogwarts Legacy has surpassed the Harry Potter franchise in sales and is still on track to release a Nintendo Switch version despite numerous delays. The players have been spending hours exploring the features of the game, while the modders are adding their own enhancements like dragons that can be ridden or powerful weapons.
There was more to the game planned than what we received, including additional spells, and most intriguingly, a system of morality, with punishments for crimes committed against the wizarding universe.
Most players are aware that there is a wide variety of spells they can use if only they knew how. However, the worst spells in the game, like the “avada-kedavra”, the deadliest spell and most frowned upon, would be the curses. Unreleased morality systems would attempt to discourage players from casting these controversial spells by reducing their points in Hogwarts.
It seems like an insignificant punishment for killing someone. I would’ve said Azkaban was a better choice, but it’s my opinion. The morality system sounds similar to the Rockstar video game Bully. This is what many fans were looking for before and after the release.
This morality was never implemented into the game. However, I think it would have been a much better experience if it had. As much as we would like it, you can’t kill or hurt NPCs. Only enemies and monsters appear in the game’s arenas and Dungeons.
The deleted feature may be brought back by, a sequel of Hogwarts Legacy. We’ll then know how far the wizarding players will go, and perhaps house points for the destruction they cause can finally reach the negative figures.
