The Simpsons Hit And Run project looks absolutely stunning
Everyone has that game that defined their childhood. You’d play it over and over. You may still own it, but not the console you need to play it. It’s just too precious to you. This all is getting very autobiographical.
Okay? Although I admit that I did not always play the game as I intended, it’s a great game. Tiny Kate enjoyed driving and grooving from time to time. , like many players I want to see this game remade someday. Hit & Run original developer supports the idea. Although there are currently no plans, they will be announced soon. One dedicated fan, in the interim, has remade the game themselves. The results are stunning.
YouTuber Reubs is behind the project, and claims that the remake of the entire video is “almost finished”. Creator Reubs showed off the 3D map, which is stunning. However, he zoomed in to demonstrate that some areas need more work. Reubs recreated the Hit & Run original game but still needs to fix the ‘dead areas’ that are currently breaking immersion.
The plan is to make the entire map one island that can be explored. Reubs intends to cover all the remaining map areas with vegetation and terrain so that players can explore every part of Springfield.
Reubs has also worked recently on the key aspect of the game. The Simpsons Hit & Run is not possible without the ‘Hit & Run bar’. The more things you hit, even if you’ve never played, the closer the police are to you. The meter was up and running in no time. The final game is something we are eager to see and the creator will keep us updated on his progress.
