The open world of Hogwarts Legacy 2 is set to bring about some major changes
Hogwarts Legacies caused controversy in the months leading up to its launch. Many said that they would boycott the film to not boost profits for JK Rowling, who was repeatedly criticized over her transphobic remarks. Hogwarts Legacy had one of the most successful launches in recent history despite this.
To date, Hogwarts Legacy has generated over $1 billion. The game was released on PlayStation 4 & Xbox One only last week. A sequel will be released due to the commercial success of the first game. The developers have confirmed they are currently working on their new project. However, we do not know for sure if it is Hogwarts Legend 2.
David Haddad, the president of Warner Bros Games said that viewed this franchise as one with a long-term. The fans would love to see another game but agree that some changes are needed.
Auramil, a Reddit user, argued on Reddit that Hogwarts 2 should be more immersive. The game’s world map is too focused on caves and ruins and not enough on the castle.
After the first chapter, they wrote: “One of the slight problems with the game was that it didn’t feel like you were a Hogwarts Student.” We get a message from an owl when we are learning a new magic spell. It says, “You must go do… then go to class.” What if the game was more like Professor Ronin?
They continued, “He taught us Accio by having us play a game that is used for multiple missions afterward.” It was an excellent way to learn the spell in a practical manner. I really liked it. Instead of just giving us an extra lesson list, what if the teacher took us on a field trip to dungeons or locations that relate to their subject and we then returned to class to study the spell? Why not discuss your plans with another student in class while you are practicing a magic spell, making a potion, or even grooming a creature? It would help us to feel like we are students at Hogwarts.”
Many others were in agreement. The Against-The Current said, “It’s not like I feel as if I am a Hogwarts student. I feel like the dark lord. The school is not fully immersed, but you are given an in-depth tour. Saopian_Abroad also added: “I think they could easily use a classroom system similar to Rockstar’s Bully. The mini-games of the classes are progressively harder, and they have a set schedule. “I loved it still but I hope this will be in the future.”
