Hogwarts Legacy PS4 Performance leaves Gamers Floored
It’s finally here – nearly three months after the initial release of Hogwarts Legacy, the Wizarding World RPG has been sweeping the web. Now, gamers without a PC or a new-gen console can experience this RPG.
The game was so big that it’s likely I wasn’t the only person who had doubts about how it would run on older consoles. The Xbox, PlayStation 4, and Switch were originally scheduled to be released on the same date. However, all versions of the game have been delayed. (The Switch version will now release on July 25). Fans have compared the performance of the PS4 Pro, PS5, and the PS4 version.
You can compare the two versions of the game, thanks to the YouTube channel ElAnalistaDeBits. The developers have all done an excellent job.
Moon Sarito, a YouTube user commented: “I was surprised. I thought the PS4 version would be worse because the game doesn’t even run well on the next-gen consoles. Even the PC has some problems.” The months of delay paid off, the PS4 version is a lot better than I expected. I wasn’t expecting it to maintain a frame rate that was locked at 30FPS or even have an unlocked performance mode. (I think it’s incredible how it can stay very close to 60FPS on a couple of occasions) I really appreciate the work done by the team. It makes me hopeful about the Switch version, and I’m curious to see how the Xbox One base performs as it is a little weaker than PS4.
Other people agree: “Very Impressive. The developers deserve a lot of respect for not releasing it with the latest-gen version. “It looks like all the time spent on the previous-gen version was worth it,” wrote micpere1991. Nicolas Silva A. commented: “I’m really impressed at how [they] managed to make the game look amazing and run great on last-gen. As I said previously, these guys created this game with passion and love, and you can see it.” Luan added, “This is the most beautiful port I’ve ever seen. It was 100% worth it!
