GTA 6 is on course to become the most expensive game ever
The new Grand Theft Auto is going to be huge in all senses of the term. The cost of developing and marketing it may be unprecedented.
When was released GTA V, the estimated cost was $265,000,000. This was a huge amount of money. If rumors to be believed are true, the cost of GTA V development could be as low as $265 million.
According to Gamerficial ‘s report, GTA Youtuber Inter recently suggested that GTA 6 might end up costing $1 billion if you add its marketing costs. The budget for the development could reach $250 million.
A leak, however, suggested the actual budget was closer to 2 billion. (This would include all of the previously listed items, along with the distribution of the game). This will be the most expensive game in history if either figure is correct.
As it stands, Star Citizen is the most expensive video game in existence. It’s that crowdfunded game that hasn’t been released yet and isn’t expected to anytime soon. Star Citizen is a game that has accumulated around half a million dollars in revenue since 2012.. It began pre-production back in 2010. It’s not clear if Star Citizen will ever be released fully.
As of right now, most of the “information” regarding the GTA V budget is pure speculation. So, take this with a grain of salt. We can only hope that GTA VI’s final release will meet gamers’ high expectations.
