The Settlers IV (German: Die Siedler IV), was released in North America as The Settlers: Fourth Edition.
It is a strategy video game that focuses on city-building. The game was developed by Blue Byte, and published by Ubi Soft.

The primary objective on most maps is to create a settlement that has a functioning economy and produces enough military and/or special units to conquer other territories.
The player must be able to manage their economic affairs, build buildings, and create resources to achieve this goal.
