Overview Zerograve:
Zerograve is an FPS that tunnel-flies with zero gravity and six degrees of freedom. Fly a fast combat drone, and you’ll blast through an army of bots to reach the station mainframe. Survive lockdowns, rising lava, and other dangers. Giant robot bosses like the dangerous Cybernoodle can be broken apart. Dual loadout: Create two weapon loads with two weapons each and quickly switch between them. Secondary weapons can share ammo, while primary weapons can have unlimited ammo. You can choose to upgrade your game. The Singleplayer campaign has 24 levels, 20+ enemies types, and five biomes. You can unlock weapons and upgrades by defeating enemies and collecting pickups. Gamepad support is available, and Trichording is permanently active.
Each level is concise and to the point. It’s easy to drop in and blast away, making it great for those who don’t have the time. The levels’ look follows the plot. All the environments have an abstract cyberspace feel. They are cubist in design and have a few angles that don’t work. It’s nice that there isn’t a clear “floor” in most of the game. It is a virtual world, after all. You are free to attack any chamber you want (yay, 6DOF). It is easy to get lost in this place. You can follow the energy conduit to make progress, and the environments are color-coded. This simple yet powerful design impressed me.
