‘The Simpsons Hit & Run Mod’ Makes It Look Like The TV Show
Fan-made remakes of video games usually aim to achieve one of two goals. Many want to improve the game’s frame rate and create new textures and brighter colors. That’s not a bad thing. Some rebuild games from scratch to make them more realistic, such as this fantastic remake of Bully.
3D games are being introduced to the world of 2D; something is rarely seen. TheGamer reported that El Gato Del Tejado, the content creator, has been remaking the cutscenes from the classic game in Matt Groening’s signature style. It makes them look as if they came straight out of the show.
This is not an easy task, as you can see. According to their latest video, the creator had to learn how to draw the art style and has been redrawing every cutscene by hand. It’s hard to imagine how long it will take to finish the entire thing. But the results are undoubtedly impressive. Take a look at the video below.

The mod is currently not available for release. However, good things do come to those who wait. It certainly looks like this mod will be worth the wait.
