PSA: Don’t leave the Bonfire Bash Activity at Destiny 2 Right Away
EDIT (7/20/22) – You don’t need to interact with the bonfire to obtain your Silver Ash. It converts automatically as long you are wearing Candescent armor. Leaving the Ash behind is possible if you don’t confirm that you have received it.
The Solstice Event is happening in Destiny2. It’s brought back EAZ, the unique floating island area that was lost years ago. It’s a place I have always loved, and I’m glad to see it returning. Guardians will need to complete the Bonfire Bash activity this time to burn Silver Leaves and turn them into Silver Ash. If you’re anything like me and don’t pay attention to quest information dumps, it’s possible that you have already completed the Bonfire Bash activity and have not made any progress towards your Celebrating Solstice quest. What’s the deal?
It turns out after you’ve completed the Bonfire Bash, you must inspect the bonfire to ensure it is 420 blazed and lit up. Destiny2 doesn’t automatically turn your Silver Leaves into Silver Ash. To stoke Silver Ash, you must wear Candescent Armor. It’s a bit silly, but I suppose that’s my fault for not being able to read comprehension. However, if you finish the activity and still have 0/20 Silver Ash, you likely are. After you’ve killed the boss, grab your blues and head to the bonfire to obtain that Ash.
