Warzone players protest the potential removal of Rebirth island
Rebirth Island, a key element of battle royale, is being integrated into the Warzone map by developers. This map features faster gameplay and a smaller battleground, so there is never a dull moment.
Raven Software will soon release a new map called Fortune’s Keep in conjunction with the launch of Season 4. Caldera is smaller than the new island, so that it could replace Rebirth Island.
Raven Software is considering removing Rebirth from Warzone to make Fortune’s Keep more popular, which players don’t like.
Warzone Players Are Angry at Rebirth Island Removal
There is little information about Fortune’s Keep beyond an overview and a list of points of interest (POI). We know the map will arrive in Season 4, but we don’t know if it will replace Rebirth Island.
Many players have expressed their dismay that Rebirth Island might disappear. Reddit user IAmZaid321 claims that Rebirth Island is what keeps this game afloat.
It’s fair for Caldera to have not lived up to the community’s expectations after three seasons. Caldera’s Pacific island is often filled with bugs and glitches and an ever-changing meta that sometimes has one or two superpowered weapons.
Others in the community share similar views. One user believes that removing Rebirth Island would “kill the game.” The player count in Warzone is declining. The battle royale and Call of Duty’s other franchises saw a 50,000,000 player drop in the last 12 months.
Is Rebirth Island leaving Warzone?
It is not clear if Rebirth Island is being removed from Warzone. There is a possibility that the battle royale will be lost, considering it only has two maps available at once.
