Marvel Star Responds to ‘God of War’ Amazon Prime TV Series Fan Casting
Rumors that a God of War TV Series is being developed on Amazon Prime have circulated for a while now. This week, Sony officially confirmed the news. The project was teased by Jim Ryan, CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment, during a briefing.
Kratos isn’t the only one who wants his show. Ryan revealed a variety of other projects at PlayStation Studios, including a Horizon Zero Dawn TV Show on Netflix and Gran Turismo’s film, which is slightly more unusual.
We don’t know much about the God of War TV Series. However, fans have been casting Kratos. Parks and Recreation star Nick Offerman has been a popular choice and is not unfamiliar with adaptations of video games. He will soon be seen as Bill in HBO’s The Last of Us.
Dave Bautista, who is best known for his role as Drax in Guardians of the Galaxy and a host of other MCU movies, is another name to be added. Bautista is certainly built to play Kratos and has responded to the rumor.
ComicBook.com put forward the fan castings on Instagram recently, and Bautista commented. ComicBook.com stated, “It has to be Bautista.” Bautista responded, “Accordingly to popular opinion, there’s everybody else!” Hey! It’s my passion to prove people wrong. #justsayin.”
Bautista joked about the suggestions that had been posted in the comments section. These included Gerard Butler and Tom Hardy and Jason Momoa, and David Harbour, all of whom are worthy choices. Bautista has expressed his desire to be in a Gears of War movie. Amazon Prime is probably hard at work creating the Hollywood version of “Boy,” I’m certain.
