The PlayStation 3 Classic is Being Remastered.
The upcoming redesign of PlayStation Plus is making old PlayStation games a lot more popular.
Access to the Premium tier gives you access to a variety of PlayStation 3 titles via cloud streaming, including Crash Commando and Demon’s Souls.
All this is great, but what if you were to hear something more? Cloud streaming is dead, but one PlayStation 3 classic is being remastered and it’s coming soon!
This is Sidhe Interactive’s Shake game, which was released in 2009. Shatter is a clone for 1976’s arcade game Breakout. It lets players smash blocks with a ball. Although it sounds simple, Shatter is a fun way to spend an hour.
You’re in luck if you think this sounds like fun. Shatter Remastered Deluxe is due this year, “late 2022.” Originally a PlayStation 3 exclusive, Shatter Remastered Deluxe was released on PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch. It will also be available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4 (PS4), and PlayStation 5. So you’re good to go, no matter what platform you choose.
PikPok is currently working on the remaster. Following the announcement, said that they were using mind-bending Physics to manipulate and bounce the balls at increasingly complicated geometric structures and destroy bricks. The intuitive controls are fine-tuned for PC, Mac, and console. Use the unique “Suck and Blow” mechanic to adjust the trajectory of each ball for precise attacks. To do maximum damage, grab power-ups such as the Unstoppable or Manoeuvrable.
PikPok touched on the game’s enhanced graphics by saying, “Progress through richly detailed scifi-inspired scenes with improved VFX running native 4K 120 FPS. Fine-tuned innovative gaming mechanics and a completely remixed score in 5.1 surround sound.” This sounds like Shatter Deluxe and we are eager to get our hands on it.
