Alolan Pokemon make its Pokemon GO debut at Sustainability Week 2022, as we welcome Sage Pokemon Oranguru. Niantic has also pledged to plant trees supporting Trainers who walk during April’s Community Day.

The Pokemon GO Sustainability Week will be held in April. It coincides with April’s Community Day and the Season of Alola. It will be a week of exciting events that encourage Pokemon Trainers to put on their walking shoes and head outside into the spring weather to help Niantic plant trees.

Niantic’s Pokemon GO tree planting pledge

You don’t need an excuse to go out and hunt for adorable Stufful if you are already excited about Community Day. You have even more reasons to spend three hours walking in your local community, thanks to Niantic’s Sustainability Week pledge.

Niantic will plant a tree for each Trainer who walks over 5km on April 23, 2022. This can lead to a total of 100,000 trees. The 5km does not have to be completed within Community Day hours. Timed Research will be available from 10 am to 8 pm. Each step requires Trainers to walk 1km for Cherubi to encounter them.

However, the Community Day events are limited to 2 pm to 5 pm local time on April 23. is our original guide to Community Day. If you want to know more about the events, have it. You can also find all the locations participating in our April Community Day Meetups article.

Oranguru’s Pokemon GO debut

The first appearance of the Sage Pokemon Oranguru in Pokemon GO will be made in celebration of Sustainability Week. Oranguru is a wild, aged Pokemon that lives in the forest. It is a dual Normal-type and Psychic-type Pokemon. Oranguru will appear in the wild, hatching from 7km eggs collected during Sustainability Week.

Shiny Cherubi makes its debut in Pokemon GO.

The shiny Cherubi is another Pokemon that made its GO debut during Sustainability Week. There are now three shiny Pokemon available to collect, thanks to the two forms of Cherubi’s evolved Cherrim form. The Timed Research Cherrim will be joined by the Cherry Pokemon, which will also be available wild, hatching from eggs or Field Research tasks.

Challenge: A Nature-inspired Collection

Sustainability Week will bring you another Elite Collector medal. Although the exact requirements for the Pokemon have yet to be revealed, they will likely be related to grass types and nature-inspired, much like the rest. Oranguru, Cherrim, Turtwig and Oddish will most likely be included.

Wild Event Pokemon are now available.

For Sustainability Week, a new generation of Pokemon will be released into the wild. The list below includes the adorable Stump Pokemon and the Ghost-type Phantump, which has been a rare encounter since October 2021.

Event Pokemon hatching starting at 7km eggs

Sustainability Week is all about 7km eggs. To obtain 7km eggs you must open gifts from friends. Make sure to have enough space in your Pokemon and Egg storage to do this. The Egg Pokemon will be determined when the Egg is acquired, so no hatching. However, the following Pokemon may be hatched if the Egg was obtained during Sustainability Week.

Field Research Tasks: Event Pokemon encounters

A new set of event-themed Field Research tasks will also be available throughout the week. This will lead to the following Pokemon encounters. Two additional event tasks will reward trainers with Mega Venusaur Mega Energy and Mega Abomasnow Mega Energy.

Missy Lure Mods attracted Event Pokemon

Finally, because of the emphasis on Grass types during this event, Mossy Lure Modules will be important and attract these Pokemon.

Trainers will find a bonus bundle in the in-game store that they can redeem for one Mossy Lure module free.
