“LEGO Star Wars”‘s Most Scary Moment Has A Disturbing Backstory
LEGO Star Wars has been a surprise hit so far in 2022. It has captured the attention of players with its attractive gameplay and appealing aesthetic.
It doesn’t, however, mean that it isn’t filled with the weird and creepy. One moment left Star Wars fans somewhat baffled. A cutscene shows a silent droid with a Kyber Brick. It disappears into an abandoned house, filled with cobwebs. You can see the emotionless face of the droid as you move deeper into the house.
The mystery seems to have been solved by Zack Zwiezen at Kotaku. The robot is a background character in Phantom Menace, but he had no dialogue or meaning to that story. Fan Shaun Flaherty gave Robot an identity and a backstory.
Flaherty’s story tells of Jira, a young Anakin who helps to buy a cooler. She is the story of a mysterious droid that wandered into town carrying a damaged communications module. It was the last recorded message, which contained the screams and cries of a pregnant woman who died. The people of Mos Espa believe that Robot killed her or witnessed her die.
According to rumours, many people tried to kill the droid by beating it or by taking it out into the Dune Sea. But it always returned, identifiable by its covered body in blaster burns, dried blood, and recognizable by the fact that it is still there. People believed he was protected by the dark side.
The side-mission confirms that Robot is the droid. This is the first appearance of this fan-fiction in a Star Wars story. Although The Skywalker Saga doesn’t have an official canon, Flaherty should be happy to see his little murderbot come alive.
