Amazon reportedly wants to make a God of War TV show
It sounds like God of War is joining the PlayStation live-action adaptations. Amazon is interested in bringing Kratos onto Prime Video.
A new report by Deadline states that Bezos and his friends want to create a TV series based on Sony Santa Monica’s action game. However, there are no details about whether the show would be set in the series’ portrayal of Greek mythology, which was the basis for the series during the PlayStation 2/PS3 era or in the Norse mythology setting that began with the 2018 reboot. This continuity will end in God of War, which will launch on PlayStation 4 or 5.
According to Deadline, The Expanded creator’s Mark Fergus (executive producers) and Hawk Ostby (showrunner) will also be involved. Sony Pictures Television, PlayStation Productions and other parties will also participate in the series’ development. However, none of these parties commented on Deadline’s original story.
The God of War series is still far away, but PlayStation has been working on a few adaptations. The Unchartedlive action movie, starring Tom Holland Mark Wahlberg, was okay when viewed from the source material. However, some would argue that it was a mistake to adapt Naughty Dog’s action games into a movie. Naughty Dog’s The last of Us is the subsequent live-action adaptation. It will premiere on HBO in 2023.
Fanbyte’s review of this reboot’s PC port has more information about God of War. This is an excellent way for you to revisit the game before Ragnarok later in the year.
