Lasting Issues Fixed in Halo Infinite Update

Halo Infinite players are facing a variety of lagging issues since launch. A fix is finally available with the latest developer update. The latest patch fixes the desync issues that have plagued gameplay, as confirmed by 343 Industries’ blog post.

Since Halo Infinite launched, connectivity strengths have changed. Players are more susceptible to melee attacks due to desyncing. However, bullets that are fired do not hit their targets. Users can voice their concerns about a game that relies upon steady connections to ensure smooth gameplay.

This is the first update to address the issue. Richard Watson, Head Sandbox Engineer at 343 Industries, explains why this problem occurs.

Your focus should always be on the shooter. If your ping drops, you can still be fired. You may be phasing out your opponents due to bandwidth limitations and the absence of a special code path.

This update is only the beginning. Future patches will be available to address desync issues and lagging.

Other patches were also released recently to Halo Infinite, which fixed matchmaking problems for Big Team Battles, and heavy vehicle-spawning.

King of the Hill is another classic game mode that could be available in the coming weeks. 343 Industries announced delays in coop gameplay, and forge mod announcements. More information will be revealed soon.
