Nintendo Switch release date for Mario Strikers Battle League

Mario Strikers is back, and it’s available on Nintendo Switch for the first time in Mario Strikers: Battle League. This announcement was made during Nintendo Direct’s surprise stream on February 9, 2019. Although it’s not Mario Kart 9, Super Mario fans can still celebrate the win with an official Mario Strikers: Battle League release.

What is Mario Strikers: Battle League, you ask?

Mario Strikers Battle League, a 5V5 soccer game similar to soccer, allows you to dress up as your favorite Super Mario characters and have a lot of fun. It’s more serious than a casual game of soccer. You can attack your opponents using familiar Mario items and even unleash special moves like the Hyper Strike. You’ll get double the goalscoring points if you reach the special orb as soon as it appears on the field.

Mario Strikers Battle League allows you to personalize your avatar’s outfit. Choosing the right gear is important because every item has an in-game benefit. When selecting your team’s kit, you can choose whether to prioritize Strength, Speed or Shooting, Passing, or Technique.

You can play locally with up to three players on one Switch console, but you will also be able to play against international opponents online. You can also create or join a Club with up to 20 players and take control of the League.
