Insider: ‘Call Of Duty 2: Modern Warfare 2’ Getting ‘Escape from Tarkov’-Style Mode
Although 2022’s Call Of Duty entry is yet to be announced, all indications point to a sequel of 2019’s Modern Warfarereboot.
Multiple leaks, rumours, whispers and reports over the past year suggest that Call Of Duty Modern Warfare II is currently being developed at Infinity Ward. This should not be confused with the 2009 Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2, also developed at Infinity Ward.
Is it that difficult to choose a different name for the new baby? It doesn’t stand out as much because of the Roman numerals.
Tom Henderson, a well-known leaker for Call Of Duty and Battlefield, has shared many details about the game in a new video. He also revealed some new details about the single-player campaign and a promising new mode that was inspired by Escape from Tarkov.
WWe’veheard that Modern Warfare 2 will occur in Latin America, and players will engage in an operation against a dangerous drug cartel. It’s a common rumour that Infinity Ward wants to make the world more gritty with its latest Call Of Duty campaign. The story will see players engage in an operation to take down a deadly drug cartel.
Henderson believes that Modern Warfare II will include a remastered multiplayer game mode for the 2009 Modern Warfare 2. We can expect Rust, Terminal and other classic weapons and maps to be remastered in 22019’sModern Warfare. Are you still confused? I am.
Henderson also mentioned that Infinity Ward plans to add a mode to the game heavily inspired by the tactical shooter Escape from Tarkov.
He stresses that the details of this mode are still very vague. However, he anticipates objective-based gameplay across a completely new map. This new map is also likely to be integrated into Warzone somehow or another. It remains to be determined if this means that Escape from Tarkovmode is free to play.
These claims should be taken with a grain of salt, as always. Remember that even though they may be accurate when written, Call Of Duty Modern Warfare II is still under development, and things can change.
