The future of Spider-Man is more exciting than ever. Spider-Man – No Way Home finally opened the multiverse up in a big fashion, welcoming classic characters from older superhero movies to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

If you have heeded my spoiler warning, you won’t be surprised to find that Tom Holland’s incumbent wallcrawler was joined No Way home’s exciting climax by Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire, reprising their respective roles of Peter Parker and Peter Parker.

It was wonderful to see Garfield and Maguire back. However, it was Garfield who seemed to have stolen hearts. It is a fact that Garfield loves Spider-Man, and it was great to see them back. However, the last Spider-Man seems to have hurt his feelings.

No Way home gave Garfield another chance. He tackled it with such enthusiasm that the internet is calling on Sony to approve The Amazing Spider-Man 3 and give Garfield the third solo film he was denied many years ago.

According to recent reports, Sony is thinking about exactly that. Movie scooper Daniel Richtman says he has heard from sources that Andrew might return and that additional projects featuring his version of the character are in various stages. This possibility could be exciting, but please take it with a grain.

In all honesty, it sounds like a win/win situation. Sony would have Spider-Man that’s not tied to the MCU and can interact with characters such as Jared Leto’s Morbius and Tom Hardy’s Venom. Marvel could then continue with Tom Holland’s Spidey story.

Is it possible for audiences to enjoy two large-screen Spider-Men at once? Given that the webhead is one of the most popular and profitable superheroes, I would wager that Sony could pull it off.
