Need for Speed Underground 2, one of the most beloved driving games ever made, has been begging for a remastered edition for years. Modders are trying to make it happen, but EA, the original publisher, has not responded.
Need for Speed Underground 2 would be difficult to remaster. This is not due to the game’s difficulty, but the huge number of licensed cars and music that the original had. Many of these deals may need to be renegotiated. That is not an easy task for publishers. You end up with a potentially disastrous project like the GTA.
