Io Shirai Considers WWE Main Roster Call Up
After a stellar performance at NXT WarGames, Io Shirai, former NXT Women’s Champ, has commented about the possibility of being called up to the WWE main roster. Shirai stated that she was open to the idea and cited names such as Bayley and Sasha Banks as main roster competitors she would like to face.
Io stated that switching to the main roster would bring “new goals and encounters,” which are different from what he experienced in NXT.
Rumors claiming that NXT personnel are becoming despondent over the promotion suggest that now may be the right time for Io’s move to the main roster. Io Shirai could be the woman the Women’s Division needs to get out of a slump.
