The rumoured PlayStation Remake Might Be Chrono Cross.
A potential big PlayStation 3 remake is coming this Christmas, according to some. However, a recent rumour suggests this is not true and points to Square’s Chrono cross as the big Christmas remake. Chrono Cross was the sequel of Square’s popular hit Chrono Trigger.
A Reddit spotted the news on Xbox Era Podcast’s latest episode. Show co-founder Nick Baker stated that Chrono Cross was the big announcement for December at The Game Awards. He stated:
He said that “Chrono Cross Remastered was, I believe, already on the Nivida leaked list, so it shouldn’t have been a surprise – it was on Nvidia’s list.” “But, I was informed that the VGC article is about Chronocross Remastered.”
The rumoured PlayStation Remake Might Be Chrono Cross.
He also said that the game may not be exclusive to PlayStation but could be on other platforms.
“Now, whenever I hear multiplat and JRPG, I assume PC or PlayStation Switch. That’s what I believe. This is not what I was told. It’s only my assumption. My source only said’multiplat. They said that it was multiplat, but they also told me it wasn’t PlayStation exclusive.
A few clues and traces could be found about the title, which we reported on before. These included a connection to Yasunori Mitsuda, a composer for Chrono, and Eabha McMahon, an Irish singer, who stated that she had performed a theme song for the unannounced video game.
It remains to be confirmed if this is the game since the original rumour suggested a complete remake, not just an updated version.
