It’s $79.99, and it’ll be available on September 19th
Sega’s mini Genesis games console, the Genesis Mini, will come out on September 19th, but it’s available for preorder now at Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, and Walmart.
Preorders have been available for a month or two, but there’s more incentive to put down your money. Today, August 14th, is the 30th anniversary of the console’s unique launch in the US, and The Verge’s Andrew Webster submitted everything you’d want to learn more about the mini retro console.
Some of what you’ll get with the purchase of the Genesis Mini is expected, such as a miniaturized, lovingly version of the Genesis console; power adapter; and an HDMI cable. However, like Nintendo’s NES Classic and SNES Classic, Sega has gone the extra mile for Genesis (Mega Drive, in case you live Outside the US) fans.

Hold the start button, and you can come back to the system menu, rather than needing to get up and hit the reset button on the console itself. You can even display the library that is sizable if the matches were on a bookshelf, surfing the spines. It appears to be a little thing, but it nostalgic.
