Free, simple screen capture, with a few caveats
Ezvid is a screen recorder that will not ruin your footage with watermarks, but with a substantial caveat: it may only export files. There is no way to save them.
It can also just record for up to 45 minutes at a stretch. You are better off using a tool such as FlashBack Express or OBS Studio if that’s likely to be troublesome for you.
If neither of those are causes for concern, Ezvid is well worth your consideration. It is wonderfully simple to use, also contains a built-in editor with text-to-speech and voice recording so there’s no need for software.
User experience
Ezvid is simple to use, for hands-free recording with keyboard shortcuts. The graphic interface is straightforward also, although the button to activate recording is not as clearly marked as you could expect (it’s the monitor icon on the left-hand , next to the game controller). A button would be more instinctive.
There is a small widget displayed on screen helping you to stop, pause or make annotations while Ezvid is shooting your screen. The latter function is quite useful and is lacking from a number of other screen recorders. Unfortuantely, even though you can make it semi-transparent, there’s no way to hide the widget while recording unless Advanced Screen Capture is selected by you and only record a part of this display.
They’ll be pieced in Ezvid’s recorder, if you make recordings. This is quite a instrument that is simple, but is ideal for small projects. You split them in half can delete clips, and insert other video clips and pictures . You could create text slides, which can be converted into natural-sounding speech.
You may need to run them in windowed mode, which is a little inconvenient although you can use Ezvid to document games. Ezvid is great for making YouTube videos that explain how to use applications, but If you want to make let us play videos or walkthroughs, you’ll be better served by OBS Studio or FlashBack Express.
